Some are made out of stainless steel, since it doesn't tend to cause an allergic reaction to skin in general. The more expensive watches are made out of either platinum or silver. They may or may not be made entirely of silver or gold, but some are of real gold, and that makes them very expensive. Gold is one of those precious metals, and is expensive overall.
